James Cropper Advanced Materials is looking for motivated and reliable Production Operatives to join our growing team in Launceston. What You'll Be Doing

As a Production Operative, you'll play a key role in producing high-quality materials that meet exact customer specifications. You will:

  • Operate and monitor specialist coating machinery
  • Support quality checks, testing, packing and dispatch activities
  • Handle and weigh chemicals safely using appropriate PPE
  • Follow detailed production procedures and quality standards
  • Carry out basic equipment maintenance and housekeeping tasks
  • Receive and record deliveries
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve production targets
  • Contribute to a safe, efficient, and positive working environment

This is a Mon - Fri role working shifts on 6am-2pm / 2pm - 10pm on rotation

 

What We're Looking For

We're looking for individuals who:

  • Have experience working in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Take pride in producing high quality work
  • Have strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety
  • Are comfortable following written procedures and work instructions
  • Enjoy working as part of a team
  • Are willing to learn new processes and systems
  • Can perform manual handling activities as part of the role

Experience within a chemical-processing or industrial manufacturing environment would be advantageous, as would a Fork Lift Truck/Counterbalance licence.

The nature of our manufacturing process involves working with specialist chemicals and materials under strict health and safety controls. For this reason, we are unable to consider applicants who smoke or vape. All successful candidates will also participate in skin prick and spirometry testing as part of our health monitoring programme
