At James Cropper, we're embarking on a significant business transformation journey and are seeking an experienced ERP Project Manager to lead the delivery of a group wide ERP implementation programme.

This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of a business critical transformation project, working directly with senior stakeholders, external partners, and cross-functional teams to deliver a modern ERP platform that will support the future growth and success of our organisation. The role will oversee the end to end implementation lifecycle, from planning and governance through to go live and stabilisation.

The Opportunity

As ERP Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading the successful delivery of our ERP programme, ensuring scope, budget, timeline, quality, and business outcomes remain firmly on track throughout the project lifecycle. You will coordinate internal teams, implementation partners, and technology vendors while providing clear leadership, governance, and direction across multiple workstreams.

This role requires a hands on transformation leader who can confidently navigate complex business environments, influence senior stakeholders, and drive momentum across both technical and operational teams.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Leading the full ERP implementation programme from mobilisation through to post go live support.
  • Managing integrated project plans, milestones, resources, dependencies, and critical paths.
  • Establishing project governance, reporting, risk management, and decision-making processes.
  • Acting as the primary interface with ERP vendors and implementation partners.
  • Coordinating business process design, solution configuration, testing, data migration, and integrations.
  • Driving organisational change, communications, training, and business readiness activities.
  • Leading cutover planning, go-live execution, hypercare, and transition to BAU support.
  • Providing regular updates and recommendations to the Steering Committee and senior leadership team.

What We're Looking For

We're interested in speaking with experienced ERP Project Managers who can demonstrate:

  • A track record of delivering successful end to end ERP implementations.
  • Strong programme governance, planning, risk, and stakeholder management expertise.
  • Experience leading complex cross functional business and technical teams.
  • Vendor and third party management experience.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage senior leaders.
  • Strong organisational change and business readiness experience.

Experience within manufacturing, supply chain, multi-site organisations, or cloud ERP environments would be highly advantageous, as would recognised qualifications such as PRINCE2, PMP, MSP, or Agile certifications.
