This is a Permanent, Full Time vacancy that will close in {x} days at {xx:xx} BST.

We’re looking for a motivated and hands on person to join our Paper and Packaging production team as a Converting Operative.

In this role, you’ll operate specialist coating and flexographic printing equipment to produce materials safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You’ll be part of a supportive, experienced team and play a key role in solving problems, improving processes, and helping to train and mentor new colleagues.

What you’ll be doing

  • Running and optimising coating and printing machinery
  • Checking product quality and completing accurate documentation
  • Troubleshooting issues and working with engineering teams
  • Supporting improvements in safety, efficiency and housekeeping
  • Getting involved in continuous improvement initiatives
  • Helping new colleagues learn and succeed

 

This is rotating 3 shift role working 12 hour shifts including day and night shifts

 

What we’re looking for

• Experience in a manufacturing or process environment

• Great communication and a positive, team focused attitude

• Practical skills and confidence working with machinery

• An interest in learning about flexographic printing and coating processes

• A commitment to safety and quality

• GCSE Maths & English (or equivalent)

FLT licence and experience with flexo/coating processes are a bonus — but we’re happy to train the right person.
