At James Cropper, we’re pioneers in advanced materials and innovation and we’re looking for a skilled and motivated Compliance Lead to help us keep raising the bar. As our Compliance Lead, you’ll play a central role in ensuring the smooth flow of customer, supplier and internal compliance interactions. Your expertise will help protect the business from risk, elevate our AS9100 standards, and strengthen the confidence our customers place in us.

You’ll also be a key leader within the Quality function, guiding, developing and empowering a talented team to meet the demands of a fast‑moving manufacturing environment.

 

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead & Develop a High‑Performing Quality Team

You’ll coach, support and develop your team, building the skills and confidence needed for future business and compliance requirements.

  • Manage Customer Specification & Compliance

Review, interpret and communicate customer specifications, ensuring they’re robust, accurate and fully compliant with AS9100 Rev D.

  • Coordinate External Audits

Act as the main point of contact for external auditors — preparing submissions, organising responses across the business and ensuring we put our very best forward.

  • Own AS9100 Documentation & Governance

Maintain and enhance critical quality governance processes, documentation and records.

  • Lead Internal Audits

Plan, run and report internal audits using Q‑Pulse, ensuring findings are actioned and closed out effectively.

  • Influence Quality Across the Organisation

Work cross‑functionally, contribute to the IQM Group Steering Committee, and be a trusted advisor on compliance matters.

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Experience in quality, engineering, manufacturing or compliance within a similar environment
  • Strong working knowledge of AS9100 Rev D
  • Confident team leadership and development capability
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Clear and confident communication across both technical and non‑technical teams
  • Strong audit experience (internal/external) and familiarity with Q‑Pulse or similar systems
  • Analytical, objective and influential even under pressure
