This is a Permanent, Full Time vacancy that will close in {x} days at {xx:xx} BST.

We’re looking for a Dryer Operator to join our Production team, helping us deliver high-quality products safely, efficiently and consistently. This is a hands-on, technical role where you’ll take ownership of the dry end of the paper machine and make a real impact on performance, quality and continuous improvement.

What you’ll be doing

As a Dryer Operator, you’ll:

  • Operate the dry end of the paper machine to meet quality and performance standards
  • Optimise machine efficiency and performance
  • Identify and resolve operational, process, and product issues
  • Monitor equipment condition and support maintenance activities
  • Provide clear communication and reporting across the team
  • Support and guide the Machine Assistant
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including safety, housekeeping, and workplace organisation
  • Ensure strict adherence to safe systems of work and procedures

This is a Grade D 3 shift role

  • Have experience operating within a manufacturing or production environment (papermaking experience desirable)
  • Understand process control, quality standards, and machine operation
  • Are confident identifying issues and taking action to maintain output and quality
  • Demonstrate strong teamwork and communication skills
