We’re looking for an experienced Transactional Finance Manager to join our Finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

This is a key leadership role with responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of our transactional finance operations across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, cash and banking, working capital and financial controls.

You’ll lead and develop the Transactional Finance team, ensuring processes run efficiently and accurately while maintaining strong financial controls. A major focus will be improving working capital performance, managing aged debt and cash collection, and providing operational oversight of our invoice discounting facility.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading our Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, ensuring accurate and timely transaction processing.
  • Managing credit control and aged debt, driving actions to improve cash collection and reduce debtor days.
  • Overseeing the end-to-end purchase-to-pay process, supplier reconciliations and payment forecasting.
  • Producing regular working capital, debtor and cash flow reporting, highlighting risks and opportunities.
  • Taking day-to-day responsibility for the Group’s invoice discounting facility, including reconciliations, aged debt schedules and facility monitoring.
  • Ensuring balance sheet control accounts relating to payables, receivables and cash are accurately reconciled.
  • Supporting external audit requirements and maintaining strong financial controls and processes.
  • Monitoring transactional finance KPIs and identifying opportunities to simplify processes and drive continuous improvement.
  • Building effective relationships across Finance, Commercial teams, customers, suppliers, auditors and funding providers.
  • Leading, coaching and developing the team, creating a culture of accountability, collaboration and excellent service.

What we’re looking for

You’ll be an experienced transactional finance professional who is comfortable working in a complex, fast-paced business and taking ownership of high-volume financial processes.

Hands-on experience managing an invoice discounting or receivables financing facility would be a significant advantage, particularly where this has included reconciliations, aged debt management, facility monitoring and working capital optimisation.

Additionally, you’ll bring:

  • Strong experience across Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
  • Good knowledge of cash management, credit control and working capital.
  • Experience leading and developing transactional finance teams.
  • Strong financial control and reconciliation experience.
  • A proactive, improvement focused approach with the confidence to challenge existing processes.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.

Why join us?

This is an opportunity to step into an influential role where you can make an immediate impact. You’ll have the scope to strengthen controls, improve processes, develop the team and help us maximise cash and working capital performance across the business.

If you’re a hands on finance leader who enjoys bringing structure, pace and continuous improvement to transactional finance, we’d love to hear from you.
